O'Reilly Digital Media explains how to turn an iPod into a universal remote control. iPodWizard also lets you change the iPod's other icons and fonts. You can change the "Do Not Disconnect" graphic to virtually anything you want. To do it, you need an iPod, a PC and a Windows application called iPodWizard. Engadget explains how to replace it with something else. Some people find the bit flashing "No" symbol that appears whenever you synch your iPod to be annoying. Installing Linux allows an iPod to play musical files that it does not normally support, like Ogg files. When you buy a computer, you can also buy software and hardware to upgrade its capabilities. But apart from size, there's one big difference between an iPod and a computer. These components are like smaller versions of what you can find inside a computer or a laptop.
